The Charity Hub is a collaborative platform and support network dedicated to empowering the third sector. Based in Doncaster but with reach across the UK, it connects charities, community groups, funders, and social enterprises to share knowledge, access training, and build partnerships that drive real social impact. Since its launch, it has become a vital resource for organisations seeking to grow their capacity, embrace new technologies, and secure sustainable income streams.


Novus Marketing Solutions – Founders & Driving Force

The Charity Hub was co-founded by Brett Riley-Tomlinson, Managing Director of Novus Marketing Solutions, and Clynton Johnson. Unlike traditional client work, this initiative represents Novus’s mission in action. We provided not only the vision and strategy, but also the funding, branding, and operational backbone that brought The Charity Hub to life. Every Novus client indirectly contributes to this social investment model, where profit fuels purpose and marketing expertise builds stronger communities.

Novus’s role in The Charity Hub has been wide-ranging, spanning both strategic and creative delivery:

  • Founding & Funding – covering operational costs, ensuring stability, and supporting long-term growth.

  • Branding & Identity – creating the logo, tone of voice, and design system, underpinned by clear brand guidelines.

  • Digital Infrastructure – building a professional website with interactive features for news, events, and training sign-ups, as well as integrated email marketing and content distribution systems.

  • Content Creation – producing videos, podcasts, and impact stories to highlight member achievements, supported by photography and campaign graphics.

  • Events & Training – organising networking events and sector training days on topics including AI adoption, fundraising, and digital marketing.


Impact & Achievements

The results speak for themselves. More than 350 people have received training through The Charity Hub, while over 400 event bookings have been recorded for networking and skills-building activities. In financial terms, the initiative has generated over £1 million in calculated social value for the sector. Sponsorships with local and national businesses, including Bluebox IT, have added a further £50,000+ in social return.


Perhaps most importantly, The Charity Hub has played a key role in enabling charities to unlock new funding, improve collaboration, and adopt digital tools that save time and boost efficiency.


Looking Ahead

The success of The Charity Hub is just the beginning. Plans are underway to replicate the model in other regions, scaling its blend of training, networking, and marketing support across the UK. The next phase will also see the development of AI-driven tools tailored specifically for the third sector, helping organisations operate more efficiently and deliver even greater impact.
